She is a Vice President of her school’s Academic Decathlon club, President of Debate Club, and a Class Representative for Senior Student Student Council. She has competed in High School Quiz Show as an alternate since 11th grade. Outside of school, Sophie has participated in the Grubstreet Young Adult Writers Fellowship and was awarded a Silver Key in Poetry in the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards. Dominique Dang (North Quincy High School Senior ) Dominique Dang is a senior at North Quincy High School, interested in studying computer science and biology in college. She started the school's first Girls Who Code Club to encourage more female students to learn about computer science. She is also part of the Academic Decathlon Club, Quizbowl Team, and music program in Quincy. Outside of school, she enjoys coding projects at hackathons, conducting research in the lab, and volunteering at museums and science events. Hannah Phan (Newton South High School Graduate ) Hannah Phan is featured in the Girl Talk documentary. At the height of her debate career, she was ranked second in the country with her debate partner and best friend Daniel Abdulah. Afterward, she studied at Harvard (also with Dan!) in Applied Mathematics minoring in Computational Neuroscience and ran a small market research startup. In her free time, she loves bringing her friends together at dinner parties for good conversation and to use as guinea pigs for her homemade ice cream flavors, jamming out on the electric guitar, and climbing onto the roofs of old buildings around the city. Gaby Lewis (Newton South High School Graduate ) Featured debate team member of Newton South High School in the GIRL TALK documentary. Gaby Lewis is a current senior at Tufts University studying political science. She graduated from Newton South High School in 2019, and she was a member of the debate team for all 4 years of her time at Newton South. She competed competitively and was the Co-State Champion for Massachusetts Public Forum Debate in 2018. As a senior, she focused her energy on coaching novices in debate. As a Tufts Student, she is very involved in a club for promoting youth civic engagement. Raney Aronson-Rath (HOST/ Editor-in-Chief & Executive Producer FRONTLINE ) Raney Aronson-Rath has guided FRONTLINE’s coverage through some of the most consequential events in recent history, from Russian President Vladimir Putin’s war on Ukraine, to a multiplatform project examining a federal effort to grapple with America’s legacy of racist killings, to the U.S. response to the coronavirus pandemic and more. She oversees FRONTLINE’s acclaimed investigative reporting on air and online and directs the series’ editorial vision — executive producing more than 20 in-depth documentaries each year on critical issues facing the country and the world. She joined FRONTLINE’s staff as senior producer in 2007, was named deputy executive producer by the series’ founder David Fanning in 2012 and became executive producer in 2015. She is also a former high school debate team member.
