Chelsea Hernandez
Director and Producer @VOCES Building The American Dream
Chelsea Hernandez is a Mexican-American filmmaker based in Austin, Texas. Named as one of Texas Monthly’s “10 Filmmakers on the Rise,” she is an 8-time Emmy winning director, producer and editor in the Texas region. Chelsea has worked for over ten years in the documentary television and film industry on such projects like PBS national broadcast special, Fixing the Future, hosted by David Brancaccio of NPR’s Marketplace and directed by Ellen Spiro (Body of War, Troop 1500) and national 6-part series Ancient Roads from Christ to Constantine directed by Hector Galan (Children of Giant, Chicano) and United Tacos of America an 8 episode series on El Rey Network. From 2013 to 2016 Chelsea was editor and co-producer of Arts In Context, a documentary series produced at KLRU-TV, Austin PBS. Building the American Dream is her feature directorial and premiered at SXSW and is distributed by Latino Public Broadcasting on PBS Sept 15th!
Lorena Manrequez

Lorena Manríquez is an award-winning independent filmmaker based in Los Angeles. She is the recipient of a number of film industry fellowships, including the NALIP Producers Academy, the CPB/PBS Producers Academy, the IFP Rough Cut Lab, and Firelight Documentary Lab. Her first feature documentary film, Ulises’ Odyssey (2014) about her journey for truth about the political rift in her family in the aftermath of the Pinochet dictatorship in Chile, screened at international festivals, and had its broadcast premiere on PBS in 2015. Lorena’s film Siqueiros: Walls of Passion (2019) is currently on the festival circuit and it will be broadcast on World Channel's DOC World September 20th!

Miguel Picker, a New York-based Chilean American filmmaker, is an award-winning editor, director, and music composer with nearly three decades’ experience. He edited and composed music for Borinqueneers (2007), broadcast nationally on PBS in 2007. He also directed and edited Mickey Mouse Monopoly (2001), Beyond Good and Evil (2003), The Price of Pleasure (2008), Latinos Beyond Reel (2012), and Ulises’ Odyssey (2014). Before moving to New York City, Miguel worked as an editor at WGBH-TV in Boston beginning in the 1980s, and his editing credits include the series La Plaza, Greater Boston Arts, and a 52-part national series titled Destinos. Miguel's film Siqueiros: Walls of Passion (2019) is currently on the festival circuit and it will be broadcast on World Channel's DOC World September 20th!
