Meeting the Moment with Project Based Learning: Free webinar; Thursday, April 1st, 7-8PM ET
“When students have an opportunity to really make a difference through PBL, they stand a little bit taller and teachers are motivated to offer those opportunities again and again.” Suzie Boss, PBL author and consultant

Webinar objectives:
1. Understand why PBL is a powerful instructional practice for today.
2. Reflect on lessons-learned during COVID and recalibrate PBL instruction.
3. Hear how a teacher implemented PBL in an emergency remote context.
4. Leverage digital tools and resources from PBS Learning Media to support PBL practice applied to widely varying subject matter.

There may never be a better time to introduce Project Based Learning in your classrooms or expand its use. From the pandemic to racial justice to climate change, your students’ concerns can be drivers of rigorous learning and community impact.

Please join PBL renowned pioneer and author, Suzie Boss and Sarah Field, Senior Curriculum Manager at PBL Works for a dynamic discussion on the Why? the Why now? and the What next? of PBL, a powerful teaching method based on student-driven inquiry, authentic engagement and real world impact. PBL examples requiring little to generous budgets along with strategies and resources across all grades and content areas will be shared.

The on-demand recording link will be sent to all registrants. A Certificate of Completion is available for those who attend the livestream and complete a brief survey.

SEATING IS LIMITED. Priority will be given to educators.

This free one-hour webinar for all K-12 Educators is a collaboration of GBH, PBS LearningMedia and NEPM with support from the Harold Grinspoon Charitable Foundation’s Pioneer Valley Excellence in Teaching Award.
